There are plenty of great training tools out there that can be used to improve your striking. Heavy bags are great for building strength and increasing the amount of resistance you can endure while striking. Sparring is a great way to put all of your technique to use in a real simulation of a fight. However one of my favorite training tools has always been the focus mitts. These are an old school boxing tool used by trainers to work on technique, precision, and power for their fighters. The MMA work has made use of the many training tools offered by other sports. You also commonly see Muay Thai pads being used because kicks are a major factor in mixed martial arts. I have made a list of the best MMA focus mitts and I included a very unique item designed specifically for MMA.
Best MMA Focus Mitts
Rosky MMA Training Mitts
So after testing out many different MMA training mitts, I have found the perfect pair. The very innovative Rosky Combat Sports MMA Training Mitts are the only mitts that allow you to easily transition from striking to grappling. These mma mitts offer a unique wrist strap that offers a snap-back reaction so you can let go of the mitts and quickly grab them again. Instead of sticking your hand in a glove hole, you hand onto the handles on the back.
The mitts also offer a knuckle cover for the mitt holder which keeps your partner safe when returning strikes for them to avoid or absorb. These are really a great training tool for any MMA fighter or trainer. These are some of the best MMA focus mitts for all around training. If you want to know more about these mitts, check out my Rosky MMA Mitts Review.

Venum Light Focus Mitts
I am a huge fan of these light weight focus mitts and I have been using them more regularly. I only weigh 150 lbs so I train with a lot of lighter guys and these mitts feel a lot quicker. They don’t absorb as well as a much bulkier pair of mitts, but they do pretty well.
All of the gear I have used from Venum has always held up through some intense training. These gloves are pretty sturdy for the holder and comfortable for the striker. You can get these mma focus mitts for around $50. I would check these out if you are a fan of Venum.
