The UFC has announced a trio of match-ups for UFC 188 in Mexico, including a battle of TUF 20 alums Tecia Torres (5-0) and Angela Hill (2-0).
American Top Team’s, undefeated, “Tiny Tornado” Tecia Torres, at the TUF 20 Finale defeated Angela Magana by unanimous decision, while New Yorks, Angela “Overkill” Hill is also still perfect as a pro MMA fighter following a TUF 20 Finale unanimous decision win over Emily Kagan.
After having a good bit of crowd support in his first 3 UFC bouts Cathal “The Punisher” Pendred (16-2-1) will enter enemy territory to face Augusto “Dodger” Montano (15-1). Pendred won his 7th straight via a controversial unanimous decision over Sean Spencer in January, while Montano earned his 6th straight 1st round stoppage with a TKO of Chris Heatherly at UFC 180.
TUF Latino 1 winner Yair Rodriguez (4-1), who earned that title with a unanimous decision win over Leonardo Morales faces Charles Rosa (10-1), who’s coming off submitting Sean Soriano by brabo choke.
UFC 188 is on June 13th, at the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico; and is headlined by a Heavyweight title unification bout between interim champion Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velasquez.
