Finally the rematch for Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson has a venue, the MGM Grand Garden Arena. UFC 178 is set for Sept. 27 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Originally the band Kings of Leon was schedule to play in the arena but agreed to move their performance. This is going to be one of the greatest fights of 2014.
Jon Jones is going to defend his title in a rematch to a man that many believe defeated Jones in their first encounter. Alexander Gustafsson put on a great performance against Jon Jones during UFC 165. Even though it was Jones who was limping out of the cage, he scored more points against Gustafsson. The light heavyweights will fight for the title this fall and we will see if the first fight was a wake up call for Jones.
Gustafsson did a lot better than many thought and really gave Jones a run for his money. I would like to see how Jones approaches the fight this time. It would answer all questions of who the better fighter is if he were to finish the fight rather than let it go to the judges.
