Now just as we suspected, the whole case of Nick Diaz’s return to fighting in the UFC has flip-flopped. Initially we heard from BJPenn.com that Cesar Gracie spoke about an offer made to his fighter by the UFC even after Diaz’s claim of possible retirement.
However, a day after this incident, Dana White supposedly told MMAFighting.com the complete opposite Today(07/18/13).
“Nobody at the UFC talked to Gracie or anyone else that reps Nick,” Dana White sent in a text message.
This is the response message sent asking who the UFC offered Diaz, Gracie told MMAFighting.com yesterday, “Can’t tell you.”
Diaz claimed he may be leaving the UFC and quitting MMA all together after his loss to Georges St-Pierre in March 2013. He claimed he wanted a rematch with GSP or a fight against Anderson “The Spider” Silva. After the events of UFC 162, White is leaning towards matching Diaz up for another fight.
