UFC Machida vs Rockhold DraftKings Fantasy UFC Picks

The past couple of weekends we have had the treat of some early morning UFC. The most recent card in Krakow, Poland was a decent card with plenty of draft options that had the potential to win a lot. There were 12 fights to choose from totaling 24 fighters. Personally I stuck with fewer lineups and managed to make a few bucks this weekend. With the upcoming event on the 18th, we have fewer fights to pick from for our lineups. There are 16 fighters to choose from for the UFC on FOX 15 event that will be held in Neward, New Jersey.

I believe with fewer options it is easier to find better lineups that will score you a lot of points. I did a lot of research on these fights leading into the event and I have put together my best UFC draft picks. Choose your lineup now!

Luke Rockhold($10,200) vs Lyoto Machida($9,500)

I am very excited to see this fight. Two of the top 5 middleweights in the world are going to battle it out this weekend in hope for a title shot. The Dragon recently fought to decision for the title and lost. Rockhold has finished his last 3 fights and is looking better every time he fights. Machida is turning 37 next month which is always something to consider. I think with Rockhold’s recent impressive wins I favor him to win this match. Luke Rockhold by Decision

Jaracre Souza($11,900) vs Chris Camozzi($7,400)

Well I am excited as anyone to see Chris Camozzi fight in the Octagon again but this is a real tough test in front of him. Jacare already has a submission win over Camozzi and has the ability to do it again. This fight has the largest salary gap and the odds favor Jacare Souza heavily. I have avoided picking Souza due to his high cost, but he has a real good chance of winning. Jacare Souza by Submission

Cub Swanson($10,300) vs Max Holloway($9,100)

This will definitely be a great fight between two top 10 featherweights. Each fighter is looking to make a statement in the division to move up the ranks. Swanson is coming of a recent submission loss to Frankie Edgar and is looking for a win. Holloway recently went to decision with Cole Miller where he won. I think Holloway is on fire this year and will pose a threat to Swanson in the octagon. While I believe this fight will be close it is easy to fit either fighter on your lineup. Max Holloway by Decision

Paige VanZant($10,100) vs Felice Herrig($9,300)

Many people are very excited for this fight including Dana White. One of the reasons its on the main card, that and these two girls hate each other. Any kind of animosity between two fighters can add appeal the fight, and these two have been making this fight more and more appealing. Based on both fighters records this fight will most likely go to decision. However we have been seeing A LOT of finishes in the Women’s 115lb division. I believe Lil Bulldog will have the experience edge in this one. Felice Herrig by Decision

Beneil Dariush($10,700) vs Jim Miller($8,700)

Both of these lightweights have had some great wins over excellent fighters. Both of these fighters have impressive submission wins and I believe their grappling will cancel each other’s out. Dariush only has one loss to Ramsey Nijem and is always looking better every fight. While Jim Miller May have the hometown advantage, I believe Dariush will pose a problem in the cage. Beneil Dariush by TKO

Patrick Cummins($10,100) vs Ovince St. Preux($9,400)

I have always been impressed with Ovince St. Preux, he has had some excellent wins over some excellent fighters. While Patrick Cummins is the favorite to win this fighter, I just don’t see it happening. OSP has a lot of ways to win, and plenty of octagon experience. I think OSP will dominate on the feet and take a knockout win. Ovince St. Preux by KO

Corey Anderson($11,100) vs Gian Villante($8,400)

If you watched Corey Anderson on The Ultimate Fighter you will know this guy can hang in the cage. Anderson doesn’t have a tremendous amount of MMA experience but he is an established wrestler who can really control the fight in the octagon. Villante won’t be anĀ  easy task for him. He has had some impressive performance in the past and should be a great test for Anderson. Corey Anderson by TKO

Aljamain Sterling($10,900) vs Takeya Mizugaki($8,500)

I have been watching Mizugaki fight for a while now, but the dude lives to hear what the judges have to say. With 19 of his 29 pro fights going to decision, he just isn’t really a finisher at 135lbs. Sterling is an up and coming fighter with some impressive wins. He has punching power and the power to submit you. I believe he will continue his impressive win streak and take out the Japanese fighter. Aljamain Sterling by TKO
