UFC Fight Night 63 DraftKings Fantasy UFC Draft Picks

I have been getting better and better at this whole Fantasy UFC thing and it only took a little practice. With a little bit of research and some number crunching I have been able to make a few extra bucks to play with. Research is key when playing any fantasy sport and UFC is no exception. You want to make sure you know how fighters will fair against each other and who is more likely to finish. Sure the Vegas odds are a good start, but there are plenty of numbers to look at when trying to build the perfect DraftKing Fantasy lineup. Choose your lineup now!

I did some extensive research on all 10 fights on the card and have looked into each of the 20 fighters. This UFC card has a lot of close matches on it and the most expensive fighter is Chad Mendes at $11,300 putting Lamas at $8,300. The smaller range of player salaries makes the draft a little more interesting. It took me a little longer to make my lineups than usual but I feel like I got some excellent picks. These numbers are based on DraftKings Fantasy MMA.

Chad Mendes($11,300) vs Ricardo Lamas($8,300)

This fight may be closer than some may think. Chad Mendes(16-2) has had his only losses to the Featherweight King Jose Aldo. However, he hasn’t any impressive finishes over any big name fighters recently other than Clay Guida. Ricardo lamas(15-3) is coming off an impressive submission victory over Dennis Burmudez. Lamas also has a loss to Aldo, but he lasted 5 rounds like Mendes’ last fight. Chad Mendes by Decision

UFC Mendes vs Lamas Draft PicksAl Iaquinta($9,500) vs Jorge Masvidal($9,900)

I am pretty excited for this fight however I believe it is another one that will go to decision. Al Iaquinta(11-3) has had some impressive fights lately with TKO wins over Ross Pearson Rodrigo Damm, and Joe Lauzon. Jorge Masvidal(28-8) is definitely a gamer and could slow down Iaqinta’s momentum. Al Iaquinta by Decision

Michael Chiesa($11,000) vs Mitch Clarke($8,400)

I believe this match is one to take a second look at. Michael Chiesa(11-2) is coming off a loss due to a doctor stoppage. The submission artist will face Mitch Clarke(11-2)  who also has a long list of submission wins. Clarke recently finished Al Iaquinta by way of submission and is no joke on the mat. I definitely recommend having Clarke in some of your lineups if you need someone cheap. Mitch Clarke by Submission

Julianna Pena($10,500) vs Milana Dudieva($8,800)

Finally we get to see the return of the Ultimate Fighter winner, Juliana Pena(5-2). While she may be a TUF winner, she hasn’t fought since 2013. She will face off against Milana Dudieva(11-3) who has had some impressive victories before her UFC career. Her only UFC fight is a decision win over Elizabeth Phillips. I think the Russian is on a mission and may impress many. Milana Dudieva by Submission

Clay Guida($10,700) vs Robert Peralta($8,700)

I really like this matchup for Clay Guida(31-15) who had his only TKO loss to Chad Mendes. I believe Robbie Peralta(18-5) will put Guida’s chin to the test again. Guida is excellent with his wrestling and will try not to let Peralta get loose with his hands. I like Peralta’s wrestling defense for this one. Robert Peralta by Knockout

Dustin Porier($10,100) vs Diego Ferreira($9,300)

I have been really eager to see Dustin Porier(16-4) get back to action after his loss to Conor McGregor. His only knockout loss was to a very excellent striker, and I believe he would have done much better on another day. However Carlos Ferreira(11-1) is no joke in the cage. He has had some impressive wins in his fighting career and should post a threat to the Diamond. Dustin Porier by TKO
