The UFC will make a stop in Croatia for UFC Fight Night 86. This card is stacked heavy with heavyweights so its a good thing Zagreb, Croatia is only about 500 ft above sea level. Ben Rothwell will be looking to earn a title shot with a defeat against the #5 heavyweight Junior Dos Santos. Another very exciting heavyweight bout will take place between Derrick Lewis and Gabriel Gonzaga. “The Black Beast” has been putting together some impressive wins lately and I am very excited for this matchup against Gonzaga. We will also see Francis “The Predator” Ngannou take on Curtis “Razor” Blaydes and a bout between Timothy Johnson and Marcin Tybura. Another matchup I am excited to see is Maryna “Iron Lady” Moroz who is coming off a loss take on Christina “Barbie” Stanciu who will be making her UFC debut. UFC Zagreb DraftKings: Rothwell vs Dos Santos
Ben Rothwell ($9,700)
Ben Rothwell has been putting together some impressive victories in his last few fights. Most recently submitting Josh Barnett in January which was surprising to a lot of people watching. Its also important to note that Rothwell has a TKO victory over Allistair Overeem who was the most recent person to beat Junior Dos Santos. JDS has the same salary as Rothwell but I am not convinced he will win at UFC Fight Night 86.
Derrick “The Black Beast” Lewis ($9,100)
Derrick Lewis is becoming more and more popular with fans through his social media. He is also generating fans every time he fights and for good reason, he is a beast. Derrick Lewis has 14 professional wins and 13 of them come from KO/TKO. Gabriel Gonzaga has 10 losses and 8 of them are from KO/TKO so there is a good chance he could go to sleep. Gonzaga hasn’t been looking impressive lately and I think he is not going to perform very well against The Black Beast. Lewis has a lower cost on this UFC Zagreb DraftKings games so he is easy to fit into a lineup.
Francis Ngannou ($9,800)
This is going to be an interesting fight between two 6’4″ heavyweights. It was announced Curtis Blaydes would be Ngannou’s new opponent on March 14th. That’s not a lot of notice for a fight when making your debut in the UFC. Both fighters have a lot of impressive wins which take place in the first or second round. Ngannou has only lost once in his professional career and Blaydes is undefeated in 5 fights. Both fighters are cheap but Blaydes is 200 cheaper to put on your lineup for UFC Fight Night 86 DraftKings
Marcin “Tybur” Tybura ($9,500)
Marcin Tybura has a pretty impressive professional record of 13 – 1 and will be making his UFC debut against Timothy Johnson. Looking at Tybura’s past opponents and their records show that he has victories of tough guys. Johnson only has 2 fights in the UFC and one of them is a loss. So with similar records I am betting on the fighter from Poland, Marcin Tybura.
Damir “The Bosnian Bomber” Hadzovic ($8,000)
Okay this is an interesting pick because Damir Hadzovic is by far the cheapest fighter for UFC Zagreb DraftKings. Hadzovic has never been finished in a professional fight and has a record fo 10-2. He is making his UFC debut, but there is a good chance this fight will go to decision. I’m not sure he will win the decision but at least he will have had 3 rounds to score points. Sometimes you need a low cost fighter to finish your lineup and I believe Hadzovic will score a lot of DraftKings points.
