We are looking forward to another exciting UFC Fight Night on Fox. UFC on Fox 18 will feature a main event between two of the top light heavyweights. Anthony “Rumble” Johnson will face Ryan “Darth” Bader in Newark, New Jersey on January 30th. This fight should be an exciting one, can Bader take Johnson’s power–we will see. We will also see two exciting heavyweights clash in a bout between Josh “The Warmaster” Barnett and Ben Rothwell at UFC New Jersey. Fans will be excited to see “Super” Sage Northcutt take on a new opponent in a new weightclass. We will see Northcutt fight at 170 lbs for the first time in the octagon. Anthony Johnson ($10,900)
UFC New Jersey DraftKings will feature 13 fights and 26 fighters to choose from. Rumble Johnson has the second highest DraftKings salary for this event and for good reason, he is dangerous. Johnson packs an insane amount of power and has knocked out many tough opponents. One of the most notable is a TKO over Alexander Gustafsson, a man who many believe beat Jon Jones in their fight. Ryan Bader has won his last 5 fights by decision and has been knocked out twice before. Ryan Bader will have to try to take control of the fight with his wrestling. Johnson was recently shut down by an excellent wrestler, the Stand-in Champ Daniel Cormier. I believe Bader won’t be able to control the fight and Johnson will win with a KO.
Ben Rothwell ($9,300)
Josh Barnett vs Ben Rothwell is a very awesome matchup between two heavyweights who have been around for a long time. These guys have fought in some of the most exciting heavyweight bouts over the years against the biggest names in MMA. Bother fighters have had over 40 professional fights in their extensive careers. Barnett who is ranked one position lower than Rothwell is the favorite to win and has a higher salary. Rothwell has some impressive wins over Brandon Vera, Allistair Overeem, and Matt Mitrione in his last 3 UFC fights. I believe Ben Rothwell will be able to win the fight by KO/TKO.
Diego Ferreira ($9,000)
Carlos Diego Ferreira only fought once last year and it was against Dustin Poirier after he moved up from featherweight. Since then Dustin Poirier has been destroying every opponent in his path. “The Quebec Kid” Olivier Aubin-Mercier has 3 wins in the UFC including 2 submissions. In this lightweight fight, Ferreira has a 4 inch reach advantage but is the same height as his opponent. This fight might go the distance but I believe Diego Ferreira has the ability to finish it by submission or TKO. This is an excellent low cost option for your UFC on Fox DraftKings lineup.
Randy Brown ($10,500)
Randy “Rude Boy” Brown will make his UFC debut against Matt Dwyer. Both of these welterweights are very tall. Dwyer is 6’4″ and Brown is 6’2″ but has a 4 inch reach advantage. Matt Dwyer has 8 wins by KO/TKO but has lost that way twice. Brown has finished all of his fights, 2 by submission and 4 by KO/TKO. I believe Randy Brown brings his absolute best and knocks out Dwyer.
Felipe Olivieri ($9,400)
Here is another fighter making their debut in Felipe Olivieri. He will be facing Tony Martin who is 1-3 in his UFC career. Felipe has a lot of 1st round wins, a couple by submission but most by KO/TKO. He has impressed fans on many different stages including Shooto Brazil and Pancrase.
